MoneyNing hosted this week’s personal finance carnival featuring my recent article The Great IRA Contribution Squeeze which discussed a really easy strategy to maximize the amount you are able to save in your IRA each year.

As usual, there are dozens of good personal finance articles in the carnival but I’ll limit my recommendation to just one.

I’ve paid for this twice already’s post Budgeting on An Irregular Income is one not to miss, especially for those whose income varies month to month (like self-employed folks or for those who receive significant bonuses or commissions).

I’m also appearing today in Christine Hassler’s blog at the Huffington Post where I discuss the reality of saving as a twenty-something. Many people think it’s too hard to save when your twenties.

Fact1 : It is hard.

Fact 2: But it won’t get any easier.

Action item: See why.

Finally, thank you so much to all of you who have already sent me a testimonial about your experience reading my book Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck. As you can imagine, that you are willing to take the time to write a note as to how the book affected you is quite humbling. To the rest of you who are curious but don’t know what I am talking about, just read my post about this opportunity.
